Looking to take your Shopify store to the next level? You have the products, the branding, and the website visitors – now you need to convert visitors to customers. Here are some apps you can install in your store today to get your visitors to complete their checkout.
The probability of selling to an existing customer is 60 – 70%. The probability of selling to a new prospect is 5-20% – Marketing Metrics.
Receiptful is a marketing tool that allows you to send branded and engaging receipts to customers. This tool also allows you to send follow-up emails to customers to get them to come back to your store. This app sets itself apart by allowing you to customize these emails and make them engaging for readers.
We currently have set up coupons and other cool things to appear in our clients’ receipts. One thing that worked really well was showing recommended products to customers so they can see what they missed out on. Combine recommended products with a sweet discount code and you can definitely get customers coming back to your store and wanting more. We get an open-rate (on average) of about 70% with our clients, which is awesome and allows us to sell sell sell, even though it is a receipt we are sending.
Another feature we have used is follow-up emails. You can set up automated emails to send to customers after a certain period of time has elapsed. For some of our clients, we set up an email to send 3 months after a customer’s first purchase in your store. If you add a good discount or incentive for them to return to your store, then you can be guaranteed that they will become a repeat customer.
The metrics and conversions are all viewable in a dashboard for Receiptful and are laid out really well. One item we view, is what widgets in the emails are being clicked. This allows us to gauge if the receipt or email is set up nicely and what widgets are effective. We get a high volume of clicks on recommended products, which typically turn into conversions.
This app integrates seamlessly in Shopify and is really easy to set up. For users that are on other platforms like WordPress, it can also integrate on there as well (with Woo Commerce)! They have an awesome support team to help you every step of the way if you need it. Want more info on Receiptful? Visit their website here.
Facebook product feed
If you have a great social media following, this app is key to capturing those “likes” and turning them into paying customers. The Facebook Product Feed app allows you to display products directly in your Facebook page.
One really cool thing is that you can post cool things about your products and brand and then viewers have access to your products and they don’t have to leave your page. Especially in e-commerce, you can reach customers from all over the world, and most of these customers are on Facebook as well.
You can set this up within Shopify and it displays great on any Facebook page. Be sure to display your best-selling or newest products in order to appeal to your Facebook likes.
Bonus app! Businesses know the importance of email marketing, but what can you do if you don’t have an email list to market to? Fishbowl has the solution.
Fish Bowl is an app that allows you to create giveaways online. For people to be able to enter, they have to sign up for your mailing list. This allows for interested users to sign up to potentially win something, but also capture people who are interested in your product.
Once you start a contest in Fishbowl, you can connect it to your Mailchimp account and start sending out emails to these new subscribers. We have run campaigns for clients who have gotten over 1000 emails for this list in a very short period of time.
